We are SO excited to have Mark Yaconelli as our main speaker for 2010. He is the co-founder and director of the Youth Ministry and Spirituality Project housed at San Francisco Theological Seminary. He holds an MA in Christian Spirituality from the Graduate Theological Union and received a Graduate Diploma in the Art of Spiritual Direction from San Francisco Theological Seminary. Mark has spent the past 15 years working with young people in congregational, camp, and conference settings. His research and ministry with young people has been ground-breaking in its exploration of spiritual direction, contemplation, and ancient spiritual practices as the basis of discipleship with young people.
Mark and his wife, Jill, have two sons, Noah and Joseph, and a baby girl, Grace. Hobbies include grape-stomping, fish-wrestling, hooting, and biking.

Band - Can you believe that a band like Downhere will be leading us in worship in 2010? If you're not sure who Downhere is, (there may be a few of you)... read on...
When Canadian melodic alt-rockers Downhere hit the U.S. music scene in 2001 with the release of their self-titled debut, Christian music fans took notice. The band’s combination of powerful vocals, intelligent lyrics, and commitment to ministering to their audiences, helped earn them a Dove Award nomination for New Artist of the Year, a Juno Award for Best Gospel Album, and Canadian Gospel Music Association Covenant Awards for Rock Album of the Year and Rock Song of the Year (for “Larger Than Life”).
The momentum continued with the release of So Much For Substitutes in 2003, earning the band a Dove Award for Modern Rock Recorded Song of the Year for “Breaking Me Down,” as well as Best Male Vocalist honors from Christianmusictoday.com for co-lead vocalist Marc Martel.
Heard regularly on Christian radio channels nationwide, we are honored to have Downhere ready to lead us in worship!
